Misantla Bridge reconstruction advances in Veracruz

Reconstruction work is underway on the Misantla Bridge in the north-central region of Veracruz, Mexico, to restore connectivity and ensure safe transit for local residents. The project targets the kilometer 11+700 section of the road connecting La Libertad, Francisco Sarabia, Ignacio Zaragoza, and the Libertad Piedra Grande neighborhood.

The intervention was deemed necessary after the original structure's foundations suffered severe damage, compromising safety for motorists and transporters. The rehabilitation includes the total reinforcement of foundational and support elements.

Technical operations currently involve soil drilling, steel reinforcement preparation, and the pouring of high-resistance hydraulic concrete. The project includes the construction of eight deep foundations; work is currently focused on four pillars, each averaging 19.9 meters in length, to ensure stability against heavy rains and meteorological phenomena. The route is vital for the movement of agricultural harvests, citrus, and livestock.
