MISIA to perform theme song for new TBS drama

Singer MISIA will perform the theme song for the upcoming TBS Tuesday drama ‘Iroha no Koi wa Jidai o Kakeru’, which is scheduled to begin broadcasting on October 13. The song, titled ‘Sayonarabakka’, was written and composed by Eno Kawatani. This marks MISIA’s first theme song for a TBS drama in approximately eight years.

The drama is a romantic comedy spanning 300 years, following the story of an Edo-period girl whose soul travels through time into the body of a modern-day elementary school teacher. Mone Kamishiraishi stars in a dual role as both the teacher and the Edo girl. The cast also includes Koji Mukai, Jurota Yamanaka, and Motoki Ohmori.

‘Sayonarabakka’ is described as a poignant love song depicting fading memories amidst changing seasons and the enduring feelings that remain in the heart. Details regarding the official release of the track will be announced at a later date.
