Misiones and Chubut Provinces Roll Out Tax Relief for Businesses and Families

The government of Misiones province suspended the advance payment of the Gross Income tax, a measure that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Posadas (CCIP) says benefits roughly 16,500 companies and saves about 10 million pesos annually. CCIP president Federico Panozzo called it a “very good gesture” by the governor, but warned that the change covers only a portion of the business universe and will not immediately affect prices or consumption.

In Chubut, Governor Ignacio “Nacho” Torres announced the approval of two provincial laws aimed at easing financial pressure. The first grants a 100 % exemption on the Gross Income tax and on the Stamp tax for construction‑related activities, making Chubut the first Argentine province to offer “tax‑zero” construction incentives. The second establishes a refinancing regime that removes Stamp tax on debt refinancing for a range of loans and credit contracts, providing households and SMEs with tools to lower financing costs and stimulate employment.
