Misk Foundation launches emergency aid for displaced families in Taiz and Aden

The Misk Foundation for Development has launched an emergency humanitarian intervention to support 3,571 displaced families in the Taiz and Aden governorates. This response follows recent waves of displacement from the West Coast regions, specifically the districts of Mocha, Al Khokha, and Hays.

The first phase of the rapid response program includes the distribution of 1,000 ready-to-eat meals to the most affected families. Additionally, the foundation is providing 100 water tankers containing 500,000 liters of clean drinking water to address acute shortages and mitigate health risks associated with poor sanitation in displacement camps.

Abdulrabah Wazea Al-Shaif, President of the Misk Foundation, stated that the aid is driven by humanitarian responsibility and focuses on the most vulnerable groups. The initiative was launched following directives from the Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, to mobilize urgent relief to alleviate the suffering of those displaced by recent escalations.
