Miss Vietnam 2026 northern preliminary begins in Hanoi

The Miss Vietnam 2026 pageant’s northern region preliminary will be held on 29 July at the Sheraton Hotel in Hanoi, beginning at 7 a.m. Registration for northern candidates closed on 28 July, while southern candidates have until 31 July. Hundreds of applicants have signed up, most of them first‑time contestants aged 18‑22, many holding university degrees and several with master’s honors.

Current Miss Vietnam 2024, Hà Trúc Linh, will serve as a judge for the northern preliminary. Her appointment reflects the organizers’ confidence in her experience and public‑spanning activities over the past year, including cultural, educational and community engagements. The event will feature the usual segments of the competition, with contestants receiving numbers and proceeding through each portion in turn.

Organizers noted that over 90 % of the entrants have never participated in a beauty contest before, emphasizing the pageant’s appeal to young Vietnamese women seeking to contribute positively to society.
