Miss Vietnam 2026 pageant preliminaries

The Miss Vietnam 2026 competition continued its regional selection in late July. The northern preliminary on 29 July took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Hanoi, with reigning Miss Vietnam 2024 Hà Trúc Linh on the judging panel.

The southern preliminaries began on 1 August. In addition to the Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport venue, the round was staged at several Mekong Delta sites—including Vĩnh Long University, the Vietnam Aviation Academy in Ho Chi Minh City and FPT University in Cần Thơ. The opening was led by Phùng Công Sưởng, editor‑in‑chief of Báo Tiền Phong and head of the organising committee, who stressed the contest’s focus on individuality, intellect and social responsibility.

Four contestants were highlighted: Trịnh Ngọc Huyền, a business‑administration student and former university beauty queen; Lê Phương Nghi, a second‑year foreign‑trade student and campus queen; Nguyễn Thảo Nguyên, a digital‑media student at the University of Queensland; and Nguyễn Lê Nguyên Phương, a flight attendant with a master’s in international economics. Their diverse academic and community‑service backgrounds illustrate the pageant’s four pillars—appearance, culture, intellect and contribution—as the selection moves toward the national competition later in the year.
