Missing Argentine Youth Fabián Falcón Sought After Storm on Paraná River Near Corrientes

Thirty‑year‑old Fabián Falcón, a resident of Chaco province, disappeared on Thursday afternoon when a sudden storm hit the Paraná River near the city of Corrientes. While aboard a small boat with two women and another young man, strong winds caused the vessel to drift. Falcón entered the water to try to secure the boat with a rope, but the force of the wind and current swept him away. The other passenger reached safety and the two women were rescued.

The Argentine Naval Prefecture launched a water‑search operation, supported by police, to locate Falcón and assist his family. The boat was later recovered and taken to shore.
