Missouri State Fair initiatives provide 825,000 meals and raise funds for youth

The 2026 Missouri State Fair featured significant agricultural initiatives focused on hunger relief and youth development. The Missouri Farmers Care Foundation’s ‘Drive to Feed Kids’ provided 825,196 meals to Missouri children and families facing food insecurity. This effort involved participation from Missouri FFA and 4-H members, with FFA members packing over 252,000 meals and 4-H members raising resources for more than 250,000 meals.

Additionally, the Missouri State Fair’s Sale of Champions and Best of Missouri Sale raised $384,500. Notable highlights included a Grand Champion Barrow that sold for a record $62,500. A portion of the proceeds from these animal sales supports the Missouri State Fair Foundation’s Youth in Agriculture fund, which provides scholarships to students across the state.
