Mistral AI partners with CERN and NVIDIA for physics and engineering AI
Mistral AI has entered into strategic collaborations to advance artificial intelligence in the fields of particle physics and engineering simulation.
In partnership with CERN, Mistral AI is developing ‘Flare,’ a Large Physics Model designed to analyze billions of simulated proton collisions. This project aims to enhance the interpretation of massive datasets from the Large Hadron Collider, helping scientists recognize particles and reconstruct complex physical events that traditional analysis tools might miss.
Simultaneously, Mistral AI is expanding its partnership with NVIDIA to integrate its models with NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries and Warp. This collaboration focuses on engineering simulation for the aerospace, automotive, and semiconductor industries. By linking Mistral models with NVIDIA Omniverse, the companies aim to improve computer-aided engineering (CAE) and electronic design automation (EDA) workflows, allowing engineers to assess designs through advanced physics-based simulations.
