Mitch Winehouse ordered to pay nearly $2.7 million over Amy Winehouse belongings

A London court has ruled that Mitch Winehouse must pay approximately $2.7 million (about £963,851) in damages and legal costs to Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay. The judgment follows his unsuccessful lawsuit claiming the two women sold Amy Winehouse’s personal items without authorization. The judge described the claim as “intrinsically weak” and noted that Mitch was already aware of the auctions.

Parry is to receive £569,330 and Gourlay £394,521. The disputed items were sold at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles in 2021 and 2023, generating $878,000 and $344,000 respectively. The case, originally dismissed in April, centered on 141 objects ranging from dresses to letters that had been part of Amy Winehouse’s estate.
