Mitch Winehouse court judgment

In late July 2026 a London High Court ruled that Mitch Winehouse, administrator of his late daughter’s estate, must pay nearly £1 million in damages and legal costs to Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay. The judge ordered interim payments of £569,330 to Parry and £394,521 to Gourlay, citing that Winehouse had known about the auction of Amy Winehouse’s personal items and later pursued a weak, aggressive claim that harmed the women’s reputations and finances.

The judgment confirmed that the women had auctioned roughly 150 items—including clothing, jewellery and a tour dress—raising about US$1.4 million for the Amy Winehouse Foundation. The court described Winehouse’s conduct as unreasonable and required the damages and costs to be paid within two weeks. A follow‑up report on 1 August 2026 reiterated the same figures, converting the total to approximately $2.7 million (about £963,851) and noting the items were sold at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles in 2021 and 2023.
