Mitsubishi Electric acquires Dutch APAC and COMPAC HVAC firms to expand European data‑center cooling
Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A., a wholly‑owned subsidiary of the Tokyo‑based group, completed the purchase of all shares in the Utrecht‑based APAC Group and its sister company COMPAC. APAC, founded in 1987, employs about 55 people and, together with COMPAC (established 2014), generates roughly €22 million in annual turnover. The acquisition creates a unified organisation that will handle sales, installation and maintenance of cooling and air‑conditioning systems, particularly for data centres, across the Netherlands and Europe. Mitsubishi Electric says the deal will strengthen its one‑stop capabilities and support the growing demand for integrated data‑center cooling services as the sector expands beyond traditional hubs. The new Dutch hub will also cooperate with existing local contractor Crystal Air to broaden service coverage.
