Mitsubishi unveils new 2027 Pajero SUV with digital off‑road tech and Thai production

Mitsubishi Motors confirmed that the next‑generation 2027 Pajero SUV will return with a digital Multi Meter off‑road instrument panel. The screen displays altitude, compass direction, outside temperature, vehicle pitch and roll, and left‑right torque distribution in real time, enhancing driver confidence on steep climbs, narrow forest roads, rocky terrain and muddy tracks.

The model will be offered in four variants – GLX, GLS, Exceed and the top‑spec GSR, the latter expected to feature a blacked‑out sporty exterior similar to previous GSR‑branded Triton and Pajero Sport models. Built on the ladder‑frame chassis shared with the Mitsubishi Triton pickup, the new Pajero will be produced at Mitsubishi’s Thai plant, where the Triton is assembled. Launch is slated for September to November 2026, with Australian sales anticipated by the end of December 2026. Power is expected from a 2.4‑litre twin‑turbo diesel engine delivering 150 kW (about 201 hp) and 470 Nm of torque, while the cabin and front‑and‑rear suspension are being tuned for both off‑road capability and everyday comfort.
