Mitsubishi Pajero makes global debut with new generation

Mitsubishi Motors has officially debuted the fifth-generation Mitsubishi Pajero, marking the return of the iconic SUV nameplate after a multi-year hiatus. The new model is designed as a cross-country SUV that blends rugged off-road capabilities with modern refinement and advanced technology.

Key technical features include the Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system and a 2.4-liter clean diesel turbo engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The interior features a high-tech cockpit with dual 14.3-inch displays, a 3D Multi Around Monitor for off-road visibility, and a premium Yamaha Ultimate sound system. The vehicle will offer a seven-seat configuration.

Global production is expected to take place at Mitsubishi’s facility in Thailand. Market availability is anticipated in various regions, including Japan, where it is expected to arrive in early 2027, and Jamaica, with a projected arrival in September 2027. In Indonesia, distributors are currently evaluating the model to complement their existing lineup.
