Mitsubishi to relaunch Pajero SUV as premium global flagship
Mitsubishi is relaunching its iconic Pajero SUV as a premium global flagship, scheduled for a worldwide rollout starting in 2026. The vehicle will be produced at the company's Laem Chabang plant in Thailand alongside the Triton pickup truck and is expected to be sold in approximately 100 countries.
Built on a robust ladder-frame chassis, the new Pajero measures 4,920 mm in length, making it comparable in size to the Toyota 4Runner. It will feature a 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine.
In Thailand, the first market to receive the model, Mitsubishi plans to offer three distinct versions: an Entry 2WD model, a Mid 2WD model, and a top-tier 4WD model. The high-end 4WD variant is expected to include premium features such as semi-aniline two-tone seats, a 14.3-inch dual screen, a panoramic sunroof, and advanced driver assistance technologies like MI-PILOT and lane-keep assist. Official pricing for the Thai market is expected to be announced on October 19, 2026.
