Mitsubishi unveils fifth-generation Montero 4x4

Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled the fifth generation of its iconic off-road vehicle, the Montero (also known as the Pajero or Shogun in other markets). This marks the model's return after a five-year hiatus following the discontinuation of the previous generation in 2021.

Built on the ladder-frame chassis of the Triton pickup, the 2027 Montero is designed for high durability and off-road capability. The vehicle measures 4.92 meters in length, 1.92 meters in width, and 1.91 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.87 meters. It features a 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine producing 200 CV and 470 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4x4 traction system including a center differential lock.

The interior is equipped with dual 14.3-inch digital screens for the instrument cluster and multimedia system. Mitsubishi aims to position this flagship model as a primary competitor to the Toyota Land Cruiser.
