Málaga data‑center project secured with €1.257 bn investment, declared strategic by Andalusian government
The Junta de Andalucía will today declare a data‑center project in the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía (PTA) at Campanillas, Málaga, as being of strategic interest for the region. The development, promoted by Saltburn Holding SL, involves an investment of €1.257 billion and is expected to create 710 direct jobs during construction and 254 permanent positions once the centre operates.
Málaga is also set to host the tenth edition of the DES (Digital Enterprise Summit) from 9‑11 June, drawing more than 15,000 international executives and showcasing over 700 technology innovations. Organisers highlight the data‑center as a key component of the city’s push to re‑establish itself as a European AI hub.
