Málaga Firefighters Consortium tenders 2 million euros for new vehicles

The Consorcio Provincial de Bomberos (CPB) of Málaga has launched a tender for 2 million euros to acquire three new specialized vehicles to enhance fire services and rescue operations.

The procurement includes a 32-meter articulated aerial ladder truck valued at 900,000 euros, designed for high-altitude rescues and firefighting in narrow streets. It will feature a hydraulic system, a telescopic ladder, a rescue basket, and the capability to discharge up to 2,000 liters of water per minute. Additionally, the tender includes two heavy-duty 4x4 rural water pump trucks for 1.1 million euros, equipped with double cabs and 3,000-liter tanks to navigate difficult terrain such as mountains and mud.

Málaga Provincial Deputy President Francisco Salado highlighted this investment as part of an ongoing effort to modernize the fleet. This follows previous acquisitions in February, which included 12 vehicles such as chemical units and 4x4 vans, and in July, which added advanced command and flood rescue vehicles.
