San Nicolás woman arrested after partner's body found buried in backyard
Authorities in San Nicolás, Buenos Aires, have arrested 30-year-old Virginia Marlene Alviso following the discovery of her partner, 60-year-old José Manuel Andino, dead in her backyard. The victim had been missing for several days after a reported argument between the couple on August 13.
Following a report from the victim's son, police conducted an inspection of the residence on Necochea Street. Investigators discovered bloodstains and disturbed earth in the patio, leading to the recovery of Andino's body. Alviso subsequently confessed to striking Andino in the head during a confrontation, which caused his death, and admitted to burying the body.
An autopsy revealed that Andino died from multiple blows, a skull fracture, and a cerebral hemorrhage. The case is being handled by Prosecutor Belén Baños of the UFI N°12.
