Málaga police reinforced following two recent shootings

The Spanish government has announced a reinforcement of the National Police in Málaga following two shootings that occurred within a five-day period. The incidents took place in the Victoria neighborhood and the Muelle Uno tourist area. One shooting resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man who was reportedly mistaken for a hitman, while a second incident left another individual in serious condition after being shot in the face.

Subdelegate Javier Salas stated that additional officers from other parts of the Málaga province and other Andalusian provinces will be deployed to the city to bolster the 'Costa del Sol Plan' and increase the sense of security. Salas emphasized that Málaga remains a safe province and expressed a commitment to maintaining high crime clearance rates.
