Municipalities Roll Out Free Community Services Across Latin America

Local governments in Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Colombia are holding mobile outreach events that bring free health, legal and social services directly to neighborhoods. In Armstrong, Argentina, the municipality and the animal‑rights group “Como Perros y Gatos” will offer mass pet castration and rabies vaccination on 25 July. Mexico’s Cuauhtémoc borough reports more than 27 000 integrated services—including pet vaccinations, medical exams, dental care, rapid HIV and cholesterol tests, legal advice and job‑placement assistance—delivered through its Súmale Vecinal itinerant brigades. In Peru’s Uña de Gato settlement, electricity provider Enosa will run a “Enosa Móvil” office on 22 July to process bill payments, reconnections, new connections and to give a safety lecture on electrical hazards. Colombia’s El Charco municipality organized an integral assistance day for families affected by violence, offering social‑program enrollment, health checks and legal support through the Unit for Victims. Argentine towns such as Concordia, La Banda and Olavarría also held multi‑service fairs providing medical checks, vaccinations, childcare centre openings and other municipal assistance.
