Mobile Medical Units to provide free healthcare in Sikinos

Mobile Medical Units (KIM) are scheduled to visit Sikinos as part of the National Primary Healthcare Program for remote areas. This mission is part of the ‘Renaissance and Progress’ initiative, exclusively funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and overseen scientifically by the 1st Orthopedic Surgical Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The medical mission will take place at the Sikinos School on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00, and Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 09:00 to 11:00. A diverse team of specialists will be available, including cardiologists, orthopedists, gynecologists, radiologists, ophthalmologists, general surgeons, pathologists, ENT specialists, pulmonologists, pediatricians, dentists, neurologists, dietitians, and psychologists.

Residents can access a wide range of free diagnostic services, such as 3D digital mammography, digital radiology, bone density measurements, electrocardiograms, and triplex heart scans. Other available services include thyroid and breast surgical assessments, removal of cysts and lipomas, intestinal bleeding detection tests, prostate exams, ophthalmological checks, Pap tests, and diabetic screenings.
