Mobile Veterinary Clinics Bring Free Pet Care to Communities in Argentina and Chile

The Olavarría Municipality in Argentina announced its August schedule for a mobile veterinary operating theatre, offering free surgical sterilization for dogs and cats at multiple neighbourhood locations. Appointments must be booked in advance through the municipality’s digital platforms, and the service aims to increase access for residents in the Partido’s most remote sectors.

In Chile, the commune of Huara received its first mobile veterinary clinic, funded by the Tarapacá regional government with more than 130 million Chilean pesos from the National Development Fund. The Chevrolet‑based unit will provide consultations, vaccinations, deworming and low‑complexity surgeries across the extensive territory. Regional Governor José Miguel Carvajal and Mayor José Bartolo highlighted the project as a step toward decentralised, equitable animal‑health services for local families.
