Mobile veterinary services expand in Argentina

Municipalities in Argentina are expanding mobile veterinary services to provide free pet care to various communities.

In Mar del Plata, the Directorate of Zoonosis and Animal Welfare will deploy mobile operating rooms for dog and cat neutering from August 18 to August 22. Locations include Sociedad de Fomento Florencio Sánchez, Sociedad de Fomento 2 de Abril, the Zoonosis headquarters, and Centro Cultural Batán. Services are available on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of 15 neuterings per site and one animal per person. Additionally, rabies vaccination services are available at multiple locations, including the Zoonosis headquarters and various community centers.

In Tunuyán, the Municipality, in collaboration with The Vines Foundation, has scheduled mobile veterinary operations for August 18 in El Topón and August 19 in La Torrecita. These sessions offer free neutering, vaccination, and deworming for pets. For neutering procedures, owners must present a DNI, ensure the animal has fasted for 12 hours, and transport cats in cages to ensure safety.
