Houthi rebels have launched a series of missile and drone attacks across Yemen, targeting the strategic Mocha port and the city of Marib. In Mocha, a port on the Red Sea coast controlled by the internationally recognized government, more than 25 missiles struck the area, causing an estimated $16 million in material damage. The attacks resulted in at least seven deaths and led to the suspension of all commercial and maritime operations at the facility.

Simultaneously, Houthi forces targeted residential neighborhoods in Marib with ballistic missiles and drones. These strikes caused damage to homes, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure in a region that hosts over two million internally displaced persons.

In response to the escalation, the Yemeni military reported conducting over 180 operations against Houthi positions in several governorates, including Taiz, Hadramout, and Marib, using drones and artillery. The Yemeni government described the continuous targeting of populated areas as a dangerous escalation that threatens civilian lives and regional stability.
