Sahara Ray, Australian model and designer, dies at 34
Australian model and entrepreneur Sahara Ray has passed away at the age of 34. Her family confirmed to TMZ that she died in a hospital surrounded by loved ones. While an official cause of death has not been formally released by her family, some media reports, including citations from Page Six and the Daily Mail, have suggested a potential fentanyl overdose following an emergency hospitalization in Los Angeles.
Ray gained international recognition in 2016 due to rumored links to pop star Justin Bieber and was also associated with singer Cody Simpson. Beyond her modeling career, she was the founder of the swimwear brand Sahara Ray Swim and maintained a significant social media following of approximately 900,000 people.
In recent years, Ray had been open about her health struggles. Following a serious car accident in 2024, she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare autoimmune disorder that caused partial paralysis and required the use of a wheelchair. Her death comes only months after the birth of her daughter, Snow, in January 2026.
