Reggio Emilia to host 2027 Giro d’Italia stage

Reggio Emilia has been officially announced as the host for the thirteenth stage of the 110th edition of the Giro d’Italia. The stage, scheduled for May 21, 2027, will run from Borgo Val di Taro to Reggio Emilia.

The announcement was made in Rome during the presentation of the 2027 race routes. Local officials, including Mayor Marco Massari, noted that the event coincides with the 230th anniversary of the birth of the Tricolore, the Italian flag. This will mark the eighth time the cycling race has visited the city, with the previous appearance occurring in 2022.
