Overview

In late October, Modena merchants continued normal operations despite high security alerts and fears of potential unrest. Law enforcement agencies, including the Police and Guardia di Finanza, established a red zone in the historic center to prevent disorder. While some youths gathered in Piazza Roma, no significant disturbances were reported.

By early November, the focus of security efforts shifted toward protecting municipal infrastructure. The Municipality of Modena launched a six month pilot project using private security at five ecological stations. This initiative, coordinated with the Hera Group, aims to combat the theft of materials, specifically metals, and to protect workers and citizens at collection centers.
