Modena law enforcement conducts joint operations against crime

Law enforcement agencies in Modena conducted an extraordinary high-impact joint operation to prevent predatory crimes, illegal immigration, and drug trafficking. The operation, ordered by Questore Lucio Pennella, involved the State Police, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, and specialized units including the Highway and Railway Police.

Patrols and checkpoints were concentrated in high-vigilance areas, including the central train station, Giardini Ducali, Parco XXII Aprile, Parco Novi Sad, and the bus station area. Canine units were also deployed to Parco Ferrari following resident reports of drug dealing. During the operation, authorities identified 227 people, including 132 foreign nationals, and inspected 58 vehicles. The Highway Police issued 29 traffic violations, seized two driver's licenses, and impounded one vehicle for fiscal reasons. One individual was reported for violating a mandatory expulsion order near the station.
