Modena police conduct drug seizures and anti-bivouac operations

The Modena Local Police have conducted a series of operations in city parks to combat drug use and unauthorized encampments. During a canine unit service at the via Teresina Burchi park, a drug-sniffing dog identified approximately 30 grams of hashish, which was seized from unknown individuals.

In a joint operation with Hera operators on Wednesday, August 19, authorities targeted Ferrari Park to remove bivouac sites. While no individuals were present during the inspection, officers identified three recent encampment locations. The materials found were removed and the area was cleaned to restore order and safety. Local authorities stated that monitoring will continue to prevent new settlements and ensure the parks remain usable for citizens.
