Modernized School Complex in Niemca, Poland Receives EU Funding

On 24 June 2026 the renovated building of the Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych in Niemca, Lublin County, was officially handed over. The project, financed with € 6.3 million from the European Union’s 2021‑2027 fund for the Lublin region, modernised both the exterior and interior, adding accessibility lifts, upgraded utilities, a photovoltaic system and new telecommunications infrastructure. The refurbishment created specialised workshops for gastronomy, landscape architecture, graphic design, programming and computer networking, as well as a quiet‑room for students in need of stress‑relief support. The total investment amounted to 6.37 million zł, with 7.44 million zł of eligible expenses, of which the EU covered 6.32 million zł. Equipment purchases are pending.

The modernization aims to align the school’s facilities with contemporary educational standards and labour‑market demands, benefitting the Powiat Lubelski community.
