Moeen Al-Arabeed in critical condition after Israeli capture

Moeen Al-Arabeed, the head of internal security for Hamas in Gaza, is in critical condition following a joint operation by the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet. Al-Arabeed was captured in Gaza City last week during a complex security operation, during which he sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh.

Following surgery, Al-Arabeed’s health deteriorated, leading to a loss of consciousness. He is currently in intensive care on a ventilator under sedation. Israeli security agencies have described him as an ‘information treasure’ due to his high-value intelligence potential.

Known within Hamas as a ‘spy hunter,’ Al-Arabeed was responsible for thwarting espionage, securing high-ranking officials, and managing the concealment of hostages. Israeli security officials have reportedly instructed medical teams to make every effort to save his life, as his unstable condition is currently hindering planned interrogations.
