Mogán Police arrest man following drug surveillance in Puerto Rico

The Mogán Local Police have arrested a man in Puerto Rico following surveillance operations targeting drug trafficking in high-traffic areas. The intervention, which included the use of K9 units, took place at a shopping center following complaints from local business owners regarding drug sales to tourists and families.

During the operation, plainclothes officers observed suspicious exchanges involving white substances that appeared to be cocaine. In one instance, officers witnessed a transaction in a restroom where a package was exchanged for 20 euros. In another incident, officers recovered nine white wrappers that potentially contained cocaine near a wall.

The arrest involved a violent confrontation where a suspect attempted to strike an officer with a stone and pushed a female officer down a set of stairs. The individual faces charges including crimes against public health, resistance, disobedience, and assault on an authority figure.
