Mohamed Alabbar discusses Aleppo reconstruction and investment

Syrian Minister of Public Works and Housing Mustafa Abdul Razzaq and Aleppo Governor Azzam Al-Gharib met with Emirati businessman Mohamed Alabbar in Aleppo to discuss investment opportunities and reconstruction projects. The discussions focused on the housing, real estate development, and tourism sectors, specifically regarding residential and economic projects.

Following the meeting, a field tour was conducted through the old markets of Aleppo and the Al-Haydariya and Castello Road areas to inspect potential investment sites. Hazem Lutfi, Director of the Syrian Investment Authority in Aleppo, stated that a technical engineering team is expected to visit Aleppo soon to conduct detailed field studies of these projects.

Alabbar noted the importance of assessing local economic activity and expertise, while highlighting the need for infrastructure rehabilitation in several areas. This visit follows previous high-level meetings in Damascus and Abu Dhabi involving Syrian investment officials and the Foreign Minister to explore private sector roles in national reconstruction.
