Mohammad Rizwan questioned by NCCIA over seized mobile phone
Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Rizwan appeared before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in Lahore on Friday for questioning. The inquiry follows the seizure of his mobile phone in England on August 31, following a Test match at Lord’s during Pakistan’s tour of England.
The investigation is examining allegations related to online betting, gambling, and potential leaks of information discussed within the Pakistan team dressing room. Rizwan spent approximately three and a half hours at the NCCIA office, where he cooperated with a four-member team of officials.
Upon leaving the agency, Rizwan maintained a light-hearted demeanor, making jokes to reporters about being hungry. Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has urged the public to remain patient and wait for the inquiry to conclude before drawing any conclusions.
