Mohammed Chouki outlines RNI platform and water security plan

Mohammed Chouki, leader of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), has outlined the party's strategic vision and platform in preparation for the September 23, 2026, legislative elections. During a public meeting in Mediouna, Chouki challenged political rivals to compete based on concrete programs and ideas rather than populism or personal attacks.

Chouki emphasized that the RNI's platform is realistic and actionable, developed through years of direct communication with citizens to ensure it meets their actual needs. A central pillar of the party's 'Morocco 2031' roadmap is securing water resources to combat recurring droughts. The proposed plan includes accelerating seawater desalination projects, completing dam construction, and linking water basins to reduce reliance on rainfall.

The strategy also focuses on improving water distribution to rural and semi-rural areas and promoting water conservation in the agricultural sector. Chouki framed water security not merely as a technical issue, but as a strategic necessity for economic development and social justice.
