Moldova and Bucharest launch major road rehabilitation works

In Bucharest's Sector 6, the municipal authority reported progress on the Drumul Belșugului and Drumul Roții projects. Water and sewage networks have been completed, a binder layer has been laid on most of the road, and final asphalt paving is pending. Technical inspections and traffic‑management approvals are being finalized, with the remaining works expected to finish within two weeks.

In Moldova, the National Road Administration announced the launch of a procurement process to rehabilitate a 37.8‑kilometre stretch of the Leușeni‑Chișinău‑Dubăsari corridor. The project, backed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, will cover sections in the Hîncești and Nisporeni districts, improving a key route that links the Romanian and Ukrainian borders with the capital.
