Moldova announces second round of vocational training admissions

The Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova has announced the second round of admissions for secondary vocational training programs. Between August 20 and August 28, 2026, approximately 2,400 state-funded places will be available in vocational schools across the country.

The first admission round concluded with nearly 6,000 young people enrolled, 5,829 of whom secured state-funded spots. This accounts for roughly 70% of the 8,325 total state-funded positions. Admissions were conducted across 46 institutions covering 93 distinct professions. Several highly sought-after roles, such as car body repair locksmiths, confectionery production operators, and crane operators, reached full capacity during the first round.

Dual education programs, which combine institutional training with practical experience at enterprises, showed a high occupancy rate of 74.3%, with 1,710 out of 2,301 planned state-funded spots filled. For the second round, 591 spots remain available in dual programs. Available fields of study include construction, mechanics, light industry, public catering, electricity, and information technology.
