Moldova cuts gas transit tariff by 90% to boost regional pipeline corridor

The Republic of Moldova announced a 90% reduction in the transit tariff for natural gas transported along the route that links Greek LNG terminals with Ukraine, passing through Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova. The new tariff will take effect on 1 October 2026 and is intended to make the regional gas‑transport corridor more economically attractive.

The measure aims to lower costs for gas suppliers and increase the flow of gas through the corridor, supporting energy security and market integration across the involved countries.
