Moldova hikes household water rates and postpones gas bill issuance

The National Agency for Regulation in Energy approved higher water tariffs for residential consumers in the Ungheni, Cantemir and Drochia districts, meaning households will pay more for water services.

Separately, the gas supplier Energocom announced that June gas bills will be issued in early August, later than usual, as the company transitions to its own billing and payment system and conducts additional testing. The delay does not affect gas delivery, and customers will not be penalised; payment terms will start from the date the bills are sent.
