Moldova holds political consultations with Tajikistan and meets Estonian ambassador
Moldovan and Tajik officials held a new round of political consultations in Chișinău to discuss bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation. Corina Călugăru, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, and Farrukh Sharifzoda Homiddin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, analyzed the current state of ties and expressed interest in deepening political dialogue.
The discussions focused on enhancing commercial and economic cooperation, including the role of the Moldo-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission and opportunities presented by Moldova Business Week. Regarding consular matters, both parties noted the importance of the existing visa-free travel regime for citizens and discussed the possibility of extending visa-free travel to holders of diplomatic and service passports.
In a separate diplomatic development, Valeriu Chiveri, Moldova's Vice Prime Minister for Reintegration, met with Siiri Königsberg, the first resident Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Moldova. The meeting involved a review of the primary developments within the ongoing reintegration process.
