Moldova hosts National Forum of Teaching Staff and student awards

The Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova held the fourth National Forum of Teaching Staff, themed ‘35 Years of Independence: history, identity and national dignity’. The event brought together educators, managers, historians, researchers, and political figures, including Minister of Education Dan Perciun and Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu, to discuss the role of education in building a modern, democratic state.

As part of the forum, winners of the republican competition ‘Noi suntem Europa’ (We are Europe) were honored. The contest featured 170 students from 23 regions who produced 103 videos highlighting the culture, traditions, and values that connect Moldova to the European Union.

The first prize was awarded to the Student Council of the ‘Mihai Eminescu’ Theoretical High School in Edineț for their video ‘Noi suntem Europa!’, which earned 199.2 out of 200 points. Second place was shared by teams from the ‘Mihai Stratulat’ High School in Boșcana and the ‘Alexei Mateevici’ High School in Dondușeni. Third place was awarded to three different video productions focusing on European unity and shared roots.
