Moldova launches AI Hub and hosts regional education forum

Moldova has launched the Moldova AI Hub in Chisinau, a platform designed to connect public institutions, private entities, universities, and international partners. The initiative aims to transition artificial intelligence technologies from experimental stages into practical applications within the economy, public services, and social projects.

In conjunction with these technological advancements, educators from Moldova and Romania gathered in Chisinau for a two-day forum focused on the evolving role of teachers in the age of AI. The discussions centered on promoting authentic learning, responsible AI usage, and critical thinking. Participants addressed challenges such as students using tools like ChatGPT to generate identical responses, emphasizing the need to integrate AI without replacing individual effort or undermining educational values.
