The Ministry of Education and Research in Moldova has launched the second stage of a UNICEF-supported project aimed at promoting inclusive education across the country. The initiative involves 60 schools from 12 districts, including five institutions in the Criuleni district.

The program is designed to make schools more accessible to all children. Approximately 19,200 students will benefit from these measures, including over 1,760 children with disabilities or special educational needs, more than 100 refugee children, and roughly 60 children from ethnic minorities.

Key components of the project include training and mentoring for teachers, parents, and students. Around 1,100 school directors will participate in sessions focused on strengthening partnerships between schools and families. Additionally, members of the National Student Council will receive training in creating digital content that promotes inclusion. To support local efforts, ten educational institutions will be awarded grants for mini-projects dedicated to inclusivity within their schools and communities.
