Moldova marks 35 years of independence with national celebrations

Moldova marked the 35th anniversary of its independence with various commemorative events across the country. In Chișinău, President Maia Sandu addressed citizens at the Great National Assembly Square, emphasizing the nation's maturity and its path toward European integration.

Cultural celebrations were prominent, including the 'Romanian Traditions at the Nistru' festival in Criuleni. Supported by the Romanian government, the event featured folklore ensembles from both Moldova and Romania, including participants from Sibiu County.
