President Sandu presented state distinctions to military personnel to recognize their service and emphasized the necessity of continued defense investments due to the security implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Expanding the commemorations, the Ministry of Education and Research is organizing 35 regional forums between September 15 and September 30 as part of a ‘Decade of National Values’. These forums, held across all districts and municipalities, involve students, teachers, and historians to educate younger generations on the national liberation movement and the return to the Romanian language and Latin script.
