Moldova property owners can contest new cadastral values

Property owners in Moldova can now review the results of the mass evaluation and revaluation of real estate assets, which will be used for taxation purposes. The new cadastral values are scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2027.

Owners can verify technical characteristics and values through the geoportal geodata.gov.md or via the EVO integrated government portal. For those without online access, results are available at territorial cadastral services and local town halls.

If a discrepancy is found in the technical data used for the calculation, owners may request a correction. Requests can be submitted online, via email, by mail, or in person at territorial cadastral services. The cadastral service will review the request against the Real Estate Register and existing technical files, providing a response within 30 days. If objections are justified, the data will be corrected and the value recalculated. If owners disagree with the final decision, they may appeal to the administrative litigation court in Chișinău.
