Moldova reports unauthorized aircraft violating airspace

An unauthorized aircraft violated Moldovan airspace on Sunday afternoon, according to the Moldovan Ministry of Defense. The object entered the country near the city of Dnestrovsk, located in the south near the breakaway region of Transnistria. The aircraft reportedly entered from the direction of Ukraine's Odesa region at approximately 15:50 and exited back into Ukrainian airspace by 15:59.

Simultaneously, Romanian defense services issued an alert for the northeastern part of Tulcea County after military radars detected an aerial target near the border with Ukraine.

This incident follows recent statements by Moldovan President Maia Sandu, who has called for increased investment in air defense following multiple airspace violations by drones, which she characterized as attempts at intimidation.
