Moldova starts bridge rebuild at Zăicani and road‑marking works on national highways

The National Roads Administration (AND) has begun a capital reconstruction of the road bridge near Zăicani in Telenești district, located on national road R22. The new bridge will span 59.25 m in length and 12 m in width, with a 10.22 m carriageway and two 0.75 m sidewalks. The project, funded with 34.44 million lei from the Road Fund, includes a 190 m temporary diversion road and is scheduled for completion by September 2027.

In a separate initiative, AND launched a tender to apply road markings on more than 1,355 km of national roads across Moldova. The work, divided into three lots covering 31 road sectors, is valued at approximately 28.9 million lei (excluding VAT) and aims to improve traffic safety and visibility. Bids are accepted until 3 August 2026, with the markings to be applied to major routes such as M1, M3, M5 and numerous regional roads.
