Moldova to introduce official recognition of professional experience

The Republic of Moldova is introducing new procedures to officially recognize and validate professional experience gained both domestically and abroad. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has submitted a draft project for public consultation based on the Law on the Recognition of Qualifications.

The National Employment Agency (ANOFM) will be the designated body responsible for these procedures, including the creation of a professional experience evaluation commission. The project outlines three specific scenarios:

1. Recognition of foreign professional experience in Moldova for activities subject to automatic recognition. 2. Certification of Moldovan professional experience to allow for the performance of specific activities in other states. 3. Official confirmation of Moldovan professional experience for professional or administrative purposes in cases that do not meet automatic recognition criteria.

For activities not covered by automatic recognition, the project introduces a confirmation procedure. The resulting certificate will verify that the activity was conducted legally and effectively, though it does not constitute a formal recognition of professional qualification or the right to practice a specific profession.
